Bruce Joffe challenges the general public on the media’s discreet advocacy of homosexuality on his self-published book

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Gianna on 04-11-2008

A communications professor who is an expert on public relations and the media, Bruce Joffe authored and downplayed his recent explorations between the sexual agenda and the media in his self-published book A Hint of Homosexuality? He pointed out more than 200 print ads of major retailers and managed to convince his readers that each of these ads happens to have at least the slightest insinuation of homosexuality present.

Saying “Sex Sells” could be an aberration when Joffe hits back with a, “Which sex?” Although he is a renowned expert in the field seeing that he makes up the entire creative team behind multinational corporations’ promotional campaigns, Bruce Joffe conciliates by making his book more readable to readers who are not as sophisticated as him.

Bruce Joffe has managed to take his readers back to old style print ads dating back from 1905 without even moving any step backward. Readers will absolutely be scandalized by revelations they didn’t know were present until Joffe exposed them with a Freudian candor that seems to validate every claim he makes.

Readers who balk at the malfeasance of the media is encouraged to be open-minded about homosexuals being part of a commercial society and be educated that their contribution also reaps the best results.

Please add me on SHELFARI. Considering the X number of books I currently possess, read, about to read and will purchase – they all had to be ORGANIZED somewhere and of course, online.

I love the fact that Shelfari supports self-published books at the same time and while I was also browsing groups, there were several others who were also into self-publishing and promoting print on demand publishing at the same time.

WRITE RIGHT by Joseph Lamagna

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Gianna on 23-10-2008

Who else could come up with a book on writing and how to write?

Who else could come up with a book on writing and how to write? Even the author himself said that the world couldn’t house ALL the self-help books there are present – why not come up with more?

WRITE RIGHT is a manual slash reference book on writing and how to do it well. Just like how it is in life, we do not stop learning at all even if we think that we are already equipped with the necessary skills and information on how to get started.

Lamagna’s self-published book may as well be a helpful guide at the same to people who may want to get started with that pen – or keyboard. It happens to be a small book that is jam-packed with everything one needs to know about how it is to write. Its information overload in its best form.

Fran Lenzo records her daily battles with breast cancer in her Self Published book

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Gianna on 21-10-2008

Fran Lenzo has only known the life she has led before she met Angel John in 1994. After her holy encounters with him, she was taught to live each day embracing her mastectomy and breast cancer with the strength and courage she didn’t know she possessed. Her unyielding character was featured at their local newspaper and drew attention to several others in small town
Long Island.

Reading Halo My Dear Angel is like reading someone else’s hatless and wigless state in journal entries. Some chapters of this Xlibris book are also composed of short stories, essays, or recounts of angel messages that others have also shared to this Xlibris author who highlighted such experiences with the same character and vein that the people of Long Island has known of her.

This self-published book will make readers appreciate the significance of making October the Breast Cancer Awareness month to help people take charge of their own health. Halo My Dear Angel: A Journey of Miracles will help guide readers to that first step.

China’s Efforts Behind the 2008 Olympics Promulgated in Self Published Book

When the International Olympic Committee gave the floor to
China in 2001 to host the 2008 Olympic Games, the Chinese government did not know what they were up against.
Girding for the battles of media scrutiny, this Asian country cleaned up her act through major engineering of the entire city of Beijing.

Tales of this reconstruction are recorded and disclosed in the Xlibris release, China Readies for Its Close-Up. Author Linn Weiss, who traveled and travailed in China for nearly a month in 2007, recounts his experience of this transition. With illustrations of various places that Weiss has been to, this self-published book is a vibrant memoir, which convinced people that China rightfully won the 2008 bid.

”The winning of the 2008 Olympic bid is an example of the international recognition of China’s social stability, economic progress and the healthy life of the Chinese people,” said Li Lanqing, the vice premier of China. This Xlibris release is timely enough to illustrate that example and prove the nation’s stability and progress. Weiss presents these facts through words and pictures that clearly confirm China’s well-deserved recognition.

    China Readies for Its Close-Up
is an in-depth look into the preparations for the major undertaking that was the 2008 Olympic Games, which propelled China into the international limelight.

Get Healthy Breasts

I just knew why pink this month has a following. October happens to be the Pink Awareness Month for Breast Cancer! My bestfriend’s mom, Aunt Mary-an, was diagnosed of breast cancer 4 years ago and had a mastectomy. Just recently that she was no longer feeling well and started to be less productive around the household did she finally give up last week.

My bestfriend Valerie was devastated. She sent me a text message last week saying, “Hi, bes. Mom passed away early this morning. She is already gone.”

            I am in
Los Angeles now and Valerie is in New York. The time difference much alone the millions of miles that separates us made it hard for me to go see the family and I could only give as much as sympathetic condolences and several tearful phone conversations that lead to me perusing my own health days after.

Women who have had gone past puberty at the early age of 9 (note: early menstruation, breasts forming, body hair, etc) are quite likely to have cancer. Watch me knock on wood countless times.

True or not, any thought of coming across that stage where you are tagged as someone who is very likely to, gulp, have breast cancer or any type of cancer is ALARMING.

Just because October happens to be the Pink Month for Breast Cancer Awareness – let us, please, stay healthy – from the torso to up.

For the meantime, my favorite books about breast cancer are self-published.

Fran Lenzo’s “Halo My Dear Angel” is a recount of the author’s battle with breast cancer.

Donald Miller’s “Heart In Hand” talks about how he dealt with his sister who died of breast cancer while David Edward’s “Hanna’s War” is about his wife’s struggle with the same disease.

           Happy Wednesday!

Making Your Mondays Pink

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by Gianna on 13-10-2008

A former student of mine once wailed about hating Mondays.

“What’s with Mondays, dear?” I asked.

“I hate Mondays. I hate Monday blues more.”

Who doesn’t? But just to take out all discouragement from a 14 year old of all Mondays in the calendar, I told him, “There will forever be Mondays. It is just up to you to color them pink.”

Besides the fact that he turned gay 5 years after, I took delight in the fact that he turned out to be a lover of Mondays.

My Mondays are pink and whoever thought of coming up with the dogma Monday blues do not know the rest of the color wheel. To ‘pinken’ your Mondays, dress up to work in your best corporate attire. How you dress will affect your attitude for the rest of the day – businesslike, productive and dominant.

I picked a fave book for Mondays.

Monday Morning Memoirs is a collection of real stories by 10 women as edited by Maureen Murdock. Stories that warm your heart as you leaf through this selfpublished book should be a good way to start your pink Mondays. Enjoy the rest of the week!♥

The Bookworm has a cluttered shelf.

I used to tell myself that because I do not have 20/20 vision, I could just might as well blame it on my mother who uses an inch-think pair of eyeglasses and convince myself that it is in the genes.

Until I saw my dad’s library and realized that practically there is nothing on the shelf that I haven’t read before. Not horrifying but just surprising. From thrillers to fantasy to even erotica, I feel like I could read everything. Welcome to this site. And experience the everything that I’ve talked about.
